This building originally housed Curtis Supply Company, selling automotive parts until the 1930’s. Bill Beasley, a nephew of Mr. Curtis, started selling sporting goods in a small corner of the automotive store in 1937. This was so successful that sporting goods soon replaced automotive parts. The store, called Curtis Sporting Goods, operated until it closed in 2005. The lower floor is commercial space, with newly-renovated loft apartments on the second and third floors. The top of the building is accented by rounded pommels on the parapets and a deep pent roof supported by brackets. The six limestone balconies along the eastern façade indicate that those floors contained apartments. The first floor was altered with a canopy and pigmented glass in the early 1940's. Built in 1919.
