The first Phillips Petroleum Filling Station opened in Wichita, Kansas, on November 19, 1927. The fourth Phillips Filling Station (the first to be opened in Bartlesville) opened in Bartlesville on December 31, 1927. It was located south of the Santa Fe Railroad Depot at the northwest corner of the Keeler Avenue and Frank Phillips Blvd. intersection. As an opening day promotion, customers were given five gallons of free gasoline. Today, it is the location of the Frank Phillips Park.
