The Dreamland Skating Pavilion, more commonly called the Coliseum, was built in 1907 by James and John Gray. A huge skating rink occupied the bottom floor, and a very popular roof garden summer theater was on the second floor. Eventually the building housed several businesses, including drug stores such as Kerr's and Freiday's Rexall Drug Store. The structure burned in 1964. The ruins were eventually replaced with the one-story dark red brick building that is at this address today.
