The Kress syndicate of New York City built one of the most elaborate business buildings in Bartlesville. Kress and Company had a presence in the building for over forty years. This two-story building was constructed to appear as two separate buildings, each being dominated by a massive upper pediment. The east side has a triangular pediment supported by ancones. The west side displays a stepped parapet over a deep cornice supported by three brick pilasters with limestone bases and capitals. The two sides exhibit some similar details, including exaggerated iron grill work above the second story windows. The building front has four cast iron columns with foundry identifications, although they are well covered with many layers of paint. Built in 1912.
